Robert Hackman is a photographer who successfully combines a career in documentary and fine art photography.
His travels in Eastern Europe have given him an insight into the lives of communities whose suffering continues long after hostilities have ceased. His subjects are often forgotten victims such as the Roma who struggle for recognition even during peace time.
In total contrast, his fine art practice celebrates a naturally sourced love of colour and form. Robert's inventions of mechanical devices help him to create photographs in a pictorialist and photo-secessionist style. |
